By participating in Habitat for Humanity, you not only give hope to those who are struggling, but you build a better community.There are Habitat for Humanity's all over Colorado, but if you are interested in getting involved locally, look no further than the Flatirons Habitat for Humanity! Assisting low-income families, this organization focuses on the Boulder Valley School District, Broomfield, Louisville, Lafayette, Superior and more. Habitat for Humanity has also been instrumental in ReBuild Colorado, which assists in flood-damaged areas. These organizations had an especially big impact in Jamestown after the 2013 floods. What Do Habitat For Humanity Homes Look Like? Homes are generally 3 bed houses with just over 1,000 square feet. Homes meet all building and aesthetic standards in the area and are energy efficient. At the time of payment, families pay a low-interest mortgage, property taxes, home insurance and an HOA fee. How Can You Help? Construction: Want to have a hands-on impact? Help build the homes! Construction takes place Wednesdays through Saturdays and not only makes a difference, but is a great way to interact with your community. Family Service and Office Support: Like interacting with people? Being on the administrative side is a great way to get families comfortable with the process.
